About Us

TNC is an international label with a fresh, new approach, making available to you the latest releases of new music, as well as exciting archival and historically important recordings, not only from America but also from the newly independent Ukraine—one of Europe's exciting and historically important music centers.

TNC Recordings and its subsidiary, TNC Jazz are the international associates of Cambria Master Recordings dedicated to releasing international repertoire with special emphasis on music and performers from Eastern Europe. Notably, TNC has recently completed an important series of recordings devoted to the international piano legend, Sviatoslav Richter entitled "Richter Live in Kiev." Until now these performances of the celebrated pianist in live concerts have never before been available.

There is also a truly remarkable diversity of music by living composers, from established contemporary masters such as Bernard Rands and Valentin Silvestrov to the emerging fresh voices of Debbie Kavasch and Volodymyr Zubytsky. TNC also features performers of astonishing skill and perspective such as Fazil Say, Oleh Krysa, Yevgeny Gromov, Mykola Suk, Natalia Khoma, conductor Igor Blazhkov, and the trail-blazing ensembles, CONTINUUM, Kiev Camerata, and New York Trombone Quartet.

Together with TNC Jazz the catalog represents everything from Bach to Bebop mostly via the "road less traveled." Highlights of the TNC catalog are a staggering performance of Bartok"s String Quartet No.4 by the inimitable New York Trombone Quartet. There is also the sensational Ukrainian cellist, Natalia Khoma now residing in America, whose four recordings for TNC include cello concertos by Haydn, and works by Schubert, Schumann, Brahms and Shostakovich. A chamber ensemble most closely associated with TNC is the noted Kiev Camerata which first toured North America in 1998 to ecstatic reviews. This ensemble has recorded major works by Ukrainian composers, many of which are debut recordings or are being released for the first time from archival sources.

These are listed in the catalog as "Historical Recordings." In addition to new representations of the classic works of Mozart and Beethoven, there are recordings of North American composers including Michael Matthews and Edwin London, among others.
