The New York Trombone Quartet performs a sensational transcription of Bartoks String Quartet No. 4, as well as jazz standards. A true "cross-over" CD with equal appeal to fans of the trombone in 20th century music and jazz. The result of the collaborative and talented efforts of tenor trombonists Joseph Alessi, Ed Neumeister and Jim Pugh, and bass trombonist Dave Taylor, the NYTQ began in 1985. Neumeister not only transcribed the Bartok, but organized and arranged the Divertissement, and composed Collage. World Premiere Recording
