This program, the oldest in the set, contains a fair amount of hiss and moments of distortion in the forte (loud) passages. Distortion is particularly noticeable in Tracks [7], [10], as well as in more saturated moments in the Mozart and Rachmaninov. The Schumann recording is on the whole much better; distortion only audible in Tracks [29] and [30]; a little distortion in the forte passages in Tracks [40], [41], and [42].
